Accessibility statement

Last updated 25 September 2026

This statement covers letsense.co.uk: the public website and the LetSense app you use after you log in.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. WCAG is the common standard for making websites usable by disabled people.

What we have done

  • A “Skip to main content” link lets you jump past the menu. Press Tab once on any app page to show it.
  • The item you are on with the keyboard has a clear outline.
  • Text on the pages we test has enough contrast against its background.
  • Buttons that show only an icon have a name that screen readers read out.
  • On the HMRC Making Tax Digital page, screen readers announce errors and progress messages.

How we test

  • An automatic check with axe-core, a free accessibility testing tool, against WCAG 2.1 A and AA. It runs on our main public pages, the login and sign-up pages, the dashboard, and the tax and HMRC pages.
  • An automatic keyboard test that presses Tab and Enter, as a person would, on the HMRC page.

Automatic checks find only some problems. We have not yet had an audit by an outside accessibility expert.

Known limits

  • The phone and screen pictures on our marketing pages are drawings of the app. They are decoration. The real app pages carry the same information.
  • PDF documents that LetSense makes, such as reports and letters, may not work fully with screen readers.
  • Some pages belong to other services, for example the HMRC sign-in page and the Stripe payment page. Those services are responsible for them.
