Add or renew a compliance certificate

Adding a new certificate

  1. Open the property and click the Compliance tab.
  2. Find the certificate type (Gas Safety, EICR, EPC, etc.) and click Add or Edit.
  3. Enter the issue date and expiry date. LetSense will pre-fill the expiry date based on the standard renewal period — you can override it.
  4. Upload the certificate PDF (optional but recommended — it's available to tenants in their portal).
  5. Click Save.

Renewing an existing certificate

Click Edit on the existing certificate. Update the issue date and expiry date to the new values. Upload the new PDF to replace the old one. The RAG status will update immediately.

Marking items as N/A

If a certificate type doesn't apply to your property (e.g. gas safety for an all-electric property), click Mark N/A. The item will turn grey and stop generating alerts.

Note: EICR, EPC, and smoke alarm cannot be marked N/A — these are required for all rented properties. Gas safety can only be marked N/A if the property has no gas supply.
