Renters' Rights Act — sending the information sheet

What is the information sheet?

Under the Renters' Rights Act 2025, all landlords must provide every tenant with the official government information sheet. This is a legal requirement — failure to comply carries a civil penalty of up to £7,000.

• Existing tenancies: must be sent by 31 May 2026
• New tenancies: must be provided at the start of the tenancy

How to send it from LetSense

1. Open the property and go to the Compliance tab.
2. Find the Renters' Rights Act Information Sheet section.
3. Click Send to tenants. LetSense emails the official PDF to all named tenants on the active tenancy and records a timestamp in the audit trail.

What tenants receive

Each tenant gets an email with the official government PDF attached. The email comes from your agency name (or LetSense if you haven't set up branding) and includes the property address.

Confirming compliance

Once sent, the compliance tab shows a green tick with the date sent. This record is included in your audit trail export for evidence purposes.

If a tenant claims they didn't receive it, you can resend from the same button. Each send is timestamped separately.
