BACS export — paying landlords via bank transfer

What is a BACS export?

If you manage properties for landlord clients, the BACS export generates a standard bank payment file you can upload to your business banking platform to pay multiple landlords at once — rather than making transfers one by one.

BACS export requires an Agency plan.

Generating the export

  1. Go to Finances in the sidebar.
  2. Click BACS Export.
  3. Select the payment period and which landlord clients to include.
  4. Review the amounts, then click Download BACS file.

Uploading to your bank

Most UK business banking platforms (Barclays, NatWest, HSBC, Lloyds) accept standard BACS CSV or BACSTEL-IP files. Upload the file in your bank's bulk payments section and authorise the batch.

Before you export

Make sure each landlord client has their bank account details saved. Go to Agency → Landlord Clients, open the client, and check the bank details section.
